WebCD Globe Deleting Retrieved Documents


Deleting retrieved documents deletes the underlying document but leaves the document icon in the Retrieval View. To remove an item completely, see Deleting Items from the Retrieval View

Edit Menu

1 In the Retrieval View, select the item you wish to delete.
2 Select Properties from the Edit menu.
3 Check Delete retrieved file on the Retrieval Properties tab.

Note If the selected item is not retrieved or if the item is a directory URL or a host, the Delete retrieved file option will be grayed.

4 If the item you selected is a directory URL or a host and you wish to delete any item that was retrieved within this URL, select Delete all items within this directory URL.

Note If the selected item is a document URL, the Delete all items option will be grayed.

5 Click OK to perform the deletion.

Shortcut Menu

1 In the Retrieval View, right-click the item you wish to delete.
2 Select Properties from the shortcut menu.
3 Check Delete retrieved file on the Retrieval Properties tab.

Note If the selected item is not retrieved or if the item is a directory URL or a host, the Delete retrieved file option will be grayed.

4 If the item you selected is a directory URL or a host and you wish to delete any item that was retrieved within this URL, select Delete all items within this directory URL.

Note If the selected item is a document URL, the Delete all items option will be grayed.

5 Click OK to perform the deletion.
